Trey Mitchell is a commercial property and casualty insurance broker based in our Orange County Branch. Born and raised in Southern California and a native of Orange County, Trey is an ambitious entrepreneur with a diverse background. During college at Cal State Dominguez Hills, he competed as a NCAA dual-sport athlete in both golf and soccer. After leaving college early to compete as a professional athlete Trey signed a professional MLS contract with the LA Galaxy and continued to play professionally from 2014-2017 retiring in Pittsburgh, Pa. After retirement in 2017 he immediately entered the business world as a real estate broker with CBRE where he has brokered over $100m of transactions. With his real estate experience, he also privately manages multifamily real estate investments valued over $25mm across 6 multifamily properties as an asset manager.
Trey’s time spent in the world of business gives him a wide range of skills. Now focused on the insurance industry Trey is centered on building lasting client relationships, understanding the unique exposures his clients deal with to create coverage strategies that go beyond standard policy.
In Trey’s spare time he finds himself tapping into his family roots of the country lifestyle competing in team roping while caring for horses, cattle and ranch land throughout Orange County. After spending the last few years deeply immersing himself in the western community, Trey founded K.A.C. Events which will put on a PRCA Rodeo and Country Music Festival in 2026 on the beach of Huntington Beach, Ca.
