Leona started working in the insurance industry in 2002. She began her career working in the accounting department doing payables, then obtained her P&C license and got her CISR designation (Certified Insurance Service Representative) soon after. She has been in the surety industry for 10+ years and thoroughly enjoys it! She often refers to herself as a bond geek. She is always up for a challenge, loves learning new things and is always happy to help someone out.
Although she is a Bay Area native, she would say Covid brought her husband and herself to SoCal. It was a spontaneous road trip to the SoCal wine country where they decided to look at new houses, fell in love with the area, put a deposit on their dream home, packed up their first home of 14 years, made the move and she says that they couldn’t be happier. She has 3 grown kids, 6 grandchildren and 1 Aussiedoodle puppy who runs the house. In her spare time she enjoys decorating her home, spending time with friends and family, entertaining guests, tasting fine wines, cooking and eating good food.
